Marks: 'Persistently Long Lines' At Parkville Polling Place
Fifth District Councilman David Marks has requested additional staff for the Halstead Academy polling place.
On Election Day, voters nationwide faced long lines at polling places. Locally, some of the longest were found at one Parkville-area school. At the Halstead Academy of Arts and Sciences, the polling place for Districts 9-20 and 9-28, voters waited close to two hours to cast their ballots—time partially spent outdoors. Councilman David Marks, whose Fifth District includes the school, recently wrote a letter to Baltimore County Board of Elections president Bruce Harris requesting additional staff at the Parkville polling place in future elections.
