Democrats and Republicans alike asked a five-member commission to not cross jurisdictional lines when it redraws state legislative districts later this year. Members of both parties argued during a hearing of the Governor’s Redistricting Advisory Committee in Randallstown Monday that the often partisan process of redrawing legislative districts should not be used to create additional shared districts between Baltimore County and neighboring jurisdictions. The commission is charged with making recommendations on the decennial redrawing of state legislative and congressional districts. Districts should be determined by zip codes. None of this drawling imaginary lines to get the best possible voting percent in favor of a particular party. I can't remember Fort Howards zip code but 21052? 21219, 21220, 21221, 21222 and 21224 should be one district. 21201, 21202, and 21285 should be one district etc. etc.   more ›
