ReplyWhen we think of heroes we tend to think of the military, but there are many heroes here at home, and this man was certainly one of them, as are so many in our police3 and fire services. And he leaves behind a brother and sister following his footsteps. Our hearts go out to all his family, and to his mates in service.

ReplyThe jobs added are probably about half construction and half permanent, Also, didn't I read that the new state budget has money in it to improve Reisterstown and Painters Mill intersection, along with what GG has promised. There will be one new traffic light on Painters Mill. When I moved here back in the seventies, there were 7 traffic lights between the beltway and where I live - now there are 16. LOL!

ReplyGovernments create money, and own all the rights thereto. They let people use it as a medium of exchange, since it gives them more control over the populace. However they have the right to demand the return of any and all funds at any time, and for any reason. 'Aint nothing people can do about it unless they want to return to a barter economy.

ReplyMental health can easily be applied to deny people all their "rights" in any field of endeavor. As Sanchez said, about one fourth of us do something each year that can be defined as a sign of mental illness. At least one fourth. Not the do-gooders, of course. Or are they a little "mental" about their various causes.

Without heroes we would be a sad and degenerate society, with no examples of what it means to be human and humane. We should rightly honor those who set the example, especially when doing so costs them their lives. A little inconvenience is small cost to the rest of us.
