ReplyThe application of the death penalty shows how crass society has become. Death penalty for first-degree murder used to be a given. Now, it doesn't seem to make a difference, except how the people died and how many.
It was liberals that made application of the death penalty expensive, and liberals, like O'Malley, turn around and cite the cost as justification of eliminating it.
Liberals, who care more about criminals than their victims, just told prisoners their lives are worthless, because if they are killed by someone in for life, that person will not suffer any additional penalties, except maybe, loss of prison privileges.

Go to Amazon and check out the Gardus LintEater.
It's supposed to work with a shop vac on one end of your duct work, sucking the lint out, as you loosen it from the other end with the provided brush. Depending on how steep your roof is, that may be an option.
Or, you could just push the brush through your duct work from within the house, letting gravity make a big mess for you.

ReplyForget the $36 dollars.
I want to know why the article talks about collecting $23 million, and only spending $10 million?? WHERE IS THE REST OF THE MONEY GOING?Is it being stolen again, like OMalley STOLE all the Transportation Fund money and his people are trying to pass a bill to steal more transportation money from us?

What manpower? You mean the guy riding around in a car, picking the signals from the meters? And what do you think it costs to read your smart meter? There is a massive infrastructure being put into place, antennas everywhere, to read the meters. Who is paying for that?

I have seen nothing that proves that these smart meters will save any customer a single penny. I had a time-of-use meter in my old house. Before the electric rates soared, I got a substantial discount and was able to reduce my costs by shifting my usage to evenings and weekends. But utilities aren't stupid. The highest cost rates were when you get up and when you come home. You can't avoid using electricity then.
I've always had a setback thermostat, so that helped, too. Plus my dryer and heat are gas. I don't need some smart-aleck meter telling me what I already know. -

"The guns turned in are now unavailable to those who would misuse them . . . The most frequent reason given for turning in a gun or ammunition was that it belonged to a deceased relative, and they no longer wanted it in their home"
WHAT A CROCK!!
These people had no use for them and didn't want to bother to figure out how to sell them. They were afraid that in this gestapo state, they'd be arrested for simply having something without registering it.
