I've been a freelance journalist since graduating from the UMCP College of Journalism in '82. The bulk of my work has been in national magazines including Entrepreneur, Business Start Ups, Police, Home Office Computing--enough to fill up file cabinets.

Community journalism is a major love. I helped launch, then acted as editor in chief, for two local publications: Maryland Lifestyles (for those age 50+) and the York Road Gazette (a community paper) for a decade. I've written for most of the local newspapers in the area.

My areas of expertise are crime/law enforcement, business and finance (helping people save money is a passion), seniors/50+ age group, antiques and collectibles, and community-oriented pieces.

I'm from Rosedale originally, spent 20+ years in Howard, 5+ Carroll. I moved to Middle River a few years ago to be near my family, so I'm rediscovering old haunts, finding old friends and loving it.
