On the article ‘Bittersweet:’ Longtime Toy Store in Downtown Ellicott City is Closing

ReplyI'll start with a memory: I've only lived here about three years, but I've been going to Mumbles & Squeaks since my pregnancy with my first child, now 2-and-a-half. When my son was a baby, I would carry him through the store in a baby bjorn and the owners would show me the coolest stuff. His toy room is now filled with puppets and other silly stuff that we couldn't find anywhere else. I'm now a week until my due date with my second baby and very sentimental about this news! Best of luck to Williams and DiPietro on their next adventure!

Hi Buford - Thanks for your comment. Long Reach is in the headline on Elkridge Patch, because Elkridge students feed into that school. I appreciate your perspective. Can you say specifically what deficiencies are causing disparities between schools? I'm interested to hear more discussion on this from our users. - Lisa

I agree - so cute! He makes a reference to fries at the beginning of the song that I don't understand, but I'm assuming that's because I'm more than a decade older... :)

ReplyThanks for the feedback - I tried to make it more clear -- the graph represents the high school/location/national ranking/ranking among DC schools. Also, here is a link with more detailed information on the methodology: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/abcs-of-americas-most-challenging-high-schools/2013/04/11/ca4f27aa-a2fb-11e2-82bc-511538ae90a4_story.html

ReplyI can't tell if I have spring allergies or a cold. Either way, I can't take any drugs because I'm more than 8 months pregnant, so I'll just tough it out. :)
Thanks for the tips, these were really helpful! -
