Orioles McLouth To Appear At Parkville Fan Rally

The Baltimore Orioles have started off the season strong, going 41-31 which is good enough to keep them in contention for first place in the American League East, just two games behind rival Boston.

To repeat an oft-used phrase "that's the magic of Orioles baseball."

And to celebrate that magic, and help propel some Orioles stars to Major League Baseball's All-Star game, left fielder Nate McLouth will appear in Parkville next week for a Vote Orange Fan Rally, according to a press release from the team.

The event, one of four held around Baltimore and the only one in Baltimore County, kicks off at 11 a.m. June 25 at Modell's sporting goods store, 1959 E. Joppa Road in Parkville, according to the release. McLouth, the Orioles Street Team and the Orioles Bird will hang out until noon.

As of June 15 Baltimore had four players as top vote-getters for their position in the American League: First baseman Chris Davis, shortstop JJ Hardy, center fielder Adam Jones, and right fielder Nick Markakis, according to the news release.

Third baseman Manny Machado and catcher Matt Wieters were second in vote totals, and McLouth was seventh, according to the release.

Fan rallies, like the one held in Parkville, encourage fans to visit the Orioles website and cast ballots for their favorite players. To vote, click here. The team will also be giving away Vote Orange gear, game tickets and other promotional items.
