Parkville/Carney Crime: Burglar Scared Off By Homeowner

The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information supplied does not indicate a conviction.

Carney

Appleton Avenue, 3300 block. Between 12 p.m. June 18 and 10 a.m. June 20. A Lazy Boy lawn mower, valued at approximately $350, was stolen from the storage area under the porch of a home.

Shawnee Court, unit block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. June 17. A .38 caliber Special HiJo handgun, a PS3, PS3 games, an Xbox 360, and a portable DVD player were stolen from an apartment. A closet door frame was damaged during the burglary.

Satyr Hill Road, 9000 block. Between 5 and 6:30 a.m. June 16. About $10,000 in jewelry, a cell phone and a social security card were stolen from a home while a family was at church.

Losrac Court, 3500 block. At 11:20 p.m. June 19. A man tried to break into the screened-in porch of a home but was spotted by the homeowner and fled.
